Think About It

“A fascinating study done by Professor Vicky MedVic reveals the relative importance of subjective attitudes over and above subject of circumstances. MedVic studied Olympic medalists and discovered that bronze medalists were quantifiably happier than silver medalists. Here’s why: Silver medalists tended to focus on how close they came to win gold, so they weren’t satisfied with silver; bronze medalist tended to focus on how close they came to not winning a medal at all so they were just happy to be on the medal stand.” In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day~Mark Batterson

How you see your present circumstances determines how you eventually feel. Feelings are not leading your life, though it sometimes may seem that way. Feelings are a result of thinking. Reframing how you see your life, how you think about your circumstances, is key to mental and spiritual health.

So let’s break it down. This is reality. Jesus, the Son of God, lived and died for sinful man to redeem him to new relationship with God. Your sins have pulled you down, but can be lifted off you, and be forgiven forever.
