Home Makeover: Haiti Edition

Breaking news:
We discussed things with the board, and talked with a builder concerning the “home makeover” for the family with two sponsored kids in Savanne Tabac. We are a “go” to build them a leak-proof wooden home with a tin roof. This old house leaks so much! We would like to ask you to pray with us, to spread the word, and to help raise money for this badly-needed home. Based on projections we can build it for under $2500, and any extra money donated above the cost will be put in the “sponsored children” fund so as to help with other school needs as they arise.

Also, we will soon ask you to open your hearts for a very much-needed update to our black 1997 Toyota 4Runner with 285,000 miles. We hope to get a used, low-mileage, light-colored (it’s so sunny and hot here!), 6-seat, 4-wheel-drive Toyota and ship it here packed with other needed stuff. We estimate that we already have about 20% raised for this.

We hope to host a fund-raising dinner this fall where we can share what God has been doing!

Concerning the home need, we have placed a tab on our giving page at www.GospelforHaiti.org labeled “Home for the kids”. Click on the “Donate” button on the menu on the left and give as you feel led. When the goal has been reached, we will announce and remove the tab. We will also put a tab on there for “Toyota” as well. Thank you in advance for making the things we “put our hands to do” in Haiti a success! Please like and share!!
