There is a lot of good to tell you about both here and in Haiti!
This most recent trip served two purposes: the administration of a gift for a church / pastor in Hinche as well as planning and strategizing with our new church plant in Tinot. Concerning the “Jehovah Jireh Church” in Hinche, … [read more]
Next, we worked just outside the village of Tinot. Witchcraft is pervasive in these parts, but the power of God is so good and incomparably greater. Where sin increased, grace increased all the more! From signs in the heavens by bringing of rain to an unbelieving village, to provision of food for that same village with the platform to preach and teach because of those gifts, God showed who is more powerful; those times were truly “God moments”.
![]() Based on what a pastor in Vincent said, these areas hadn’t had any significant rain for over a month. Thousands upon thousands of people had not received rain for over a month. Crops were going to die! But God intervened when we started praying. God heard and answered our prayer for rain! As I drove to Hinche that next morning, it was evident that the rain had been very significant, and the crops were most assuredly saved from a slow death. God cares about these people! The people have been beat down so much that they often doubt; hopelessness is part of the enemy’s plan. BUT, we are men just like Elijah; we asked God for rain and it came. It wasn’t raining until we prayed, and it continues to rain even more now. Praise God because we had told many people in faith that God would bring it! One of the neighboring unbelievers testified to my friend, “(They) prayed in the morning for rain, and in the evening it came!” This is what prayer does! The Lord wants everyone to know that He loves and blesses the sinner as well as the righteous in hopes that His kindness will lead them to repentance and belief in Jesus. Thanks for praying and believing with us. We have the victory over poverty and everything else in Jesus Name!! We also had the opportunity to minister to a young lady who is mute. She lives in the voodoo home we’ve mentioned earlier this year, and I believe she is being held captive in her speech by demonic oppression. We believe God is going to deliver her and her family.
In the main village of Tinot, the church continues to meet together with much joy… [read more] This past Sunday at church in Tinot, there were 40 people, including so many precious kids! God wants to radically change their lives, and these salvations are only the beginning! I was privileged to preach on Sunday, and I was excited to even be able to deliver some parts of the message in Creole!! ![]() After service, an older lady (pictured at right), who is the wife of a witch doctor, declared with resolve in her voice, “I’ve waited so long to do this.” Then she confessed Jesus as Lord and repented of sin. WOW! The realm of darkness is losing its grip in Tinot. Angels were definitely rejoicing! God willing, we would like to be leading teams right into this village soon, teaching the kids, holding VBS’s and showering them and their families with love, and also evangelizing villages further out. (If you are interested in a mission trip to Haiti next spring or summer, please reply so we can contact you about informational meetings. They will be small teams of 6-10.)
Outside of the village of Vincent lives a man some of you know named Wo Wo who survived a devastating fall soon after birth. … [read more]
tateside we have some awesome news! We received notice a week ago that we are officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. ![]() YEAH!! Rejoice with us! Many experienced founders of organizations had told us to expect delays of up to 6 months for final approval, but God moved our application through the entire approval process in a mere 6 days. As you consider your missions giving for the year, if you are not presently supporting us, could you prayerfully ask the Lord what He would have you do? We are not the only missions organization going, and we’re not that well-known, but we do believe we are faithfully doing what God has called us to do in very poor areas of the world. As we continue to grow, God will expand our area of ministry in Haiti and around the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Jesus is the Name above all!! God be praised!!! |
