Cup of (Cold) Water

The Bible isn’t always convenient, but it is always worth it!

The little Haitian boy asked, “ba’m ti dlo” (“give me a little water.”) I told him in Creole, “Walk to the well; it’s right there!” (about a 1/2 of a block away)

As I walked back to the house, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the verse, “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”

So I replied to the little boy, “M’ap vini.” (“I am coming.”) So, even though it was a little inconvenient, I started filling up a glass of water.

Then came the nudge again, “Cold water.” So, the kid gets some cold water straight from the throne of heaven!

God cares just as much that this kid gets cold water as me finishing my seemingly “important” schedule! Isn’t it cool that the Lord will stop people from what they’re doing, start them doing something else, in order to get his plans accomplished.

I praise God for this encounter, because if we didn’t have people around us listening to the voice of God, they probably would NOT be supporting this work in Haiti. For those who send workers into the harvest field, we missionaries/ evangelists praise God for you! Thank you for listening to the Lord! God will reward when He returns soon!!!!

Rev. 22:12
Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done!
