Church plant in Tinot

In the main village of Tinot, the church continues to meet together with much joy.

"They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. ... strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. 'We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,' they said. Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust." Acts 14:21 - 23

They have had access to a brick building at least 50% of time so far, but they’ve been told this will not be available in about a week.  We have been looking at some land, and together with our board we will be praying about how to move forward.  There are a few things we know: we know God wants these people to meet and be discipled. This is why we have started the only church in this village. Pastor Dumanot and Kethlin Vilbon are doing a great job in leading them. We don’t believe God wants the church to continue meeting under a mango tree, though that is okay for now.

Once we get to know the people in the church better, more elders will be selected from the congregation. We continue to pray God grows the people and the church. Please pray for God’s will to be done for this body in Tinot.
