I hope all is well with you and your family. We always like hearing from you. Can you believe we (you and I) are heading to Haiti again!
When I think back over the year and all that God has done, it is very encouraging. First and foremost, people have been saved through many avenues. Whether that is walking on the street of Port au Prince, showing the JESUS Film or preaching, it has been very cool to be a part of it!! Second, Christians have been encouraged in their faith through the JESUS Film and the preaching of the Word. In Haiti, Guatemala, and India/Nepal, God has gone before us in the working with the leaders/believers in these areas to encourage Christians to be on task. Thirdly, God has provided Bibles to literally thousands of people.
Here are the facts we have been able to record:
— 10,925 Bibles purchased and distributed at churches around the world where the need is abundant.
— 76 rededications (probably many more, hard to keep track)
— 479 first time salvations in Haiti, Guatemala, India and Nepal.
— Many, many baptized in Haiti, and India.
This work is a result of your prayers, encouragement, and support. I pray that you know from God himself how you have helped these people. We couldn’t do these things unless God was with us, and His Word is very clear, that if we “Go!”, He will be with us!
I want to share just a bit more on India too. It was a great trip and much was accomplished for the Kingdom. When people are being healed and saved, the enemy is not just going to sit idly by. We faced difficult times, but God always saw us through. I was personally stretched in ways I didn’t know I could be stretched!! Ha. Just so you know, India was a specific mission for a specific time. We are not switching our main emphasis to India. God called, we went, and we did what we felt like God had called us to do. I sensed God allowed us to go because we asked to go and minister there. Our focus continues to be Haiti. Our family continues to learn the language. I do believe that God will occasionally call us to different places, like India again, or in new areas off the beaten path.
Sonu Singh, the pastor I worked and traveled with in India/Nepal, said there is much rejoicing because of revival that is happening as a result of the meetings where we preached (9 churches total) because of the people saved and the Bibles given (which they wouldn’t have had otherwise.) Forty-four churches total received Bibles in India/Nepal. I wish you could have seen the Hindu believers turning their faith to Jesus Christ! With over a billion people there, the people we saw come to faith is a small drop in the huge bucket, but we are seeing people saved! I believe God is well pleased! Thanks for giving for these Bibles; it was a huge deal and will continue to have a tremendous impact for eternity, no question.
Concerning this upcoming trip to Haiti, please be in prayer as we travel from the 15th-22nd It’s a short trip, but we are expecting great results. This Project HOPE team will be working on the new base/radio tower in Pignon, Haiti. This radio tower will hopefully be broadcasting the Gospel to potentially thousands soon.
Thanks, and may God bless you!
